I've spent 12 years at Infor Birst shaping how enterprise users make sense of their data. I was the sole designer on a ground-up mobile BI suite that shipped to customers including United Airlines, Disney, and Clarks, contributing to Birst's recognition as a Leader in the 2015 Forrester Wave for Cloud Business Intelligence Platforms and its #1 ranking in Dresner's Wisdom of Crowds Cloud BI Market Study for four consecutive years. I went on to co-design the replatform of our data integration system, which later became the architectural basis for Infor's own data connection flow. More recently, I helped drive GenAI integration across 10+ features of our flagship analytics platform and stepped into a Design Lead role, managing a direct report and contributing to the growth of the team.

My Work at Infor Birst

I joined Birst in 2014 as the sole designer hired to build its mobile BI suite from scratch, four form factors, ground-up design authority, shipping features that Forrester named a Leader in the 2015 Cloud BI Wave and that rolled out to Fortune 500 clients including United Airlines, Disney, and Clarks.

After Infor acquired Birst in 2017, I was promoted to senior and expanded to designing across the entire product. Over the next eight years I co-led Pronto the replacement for Birst's legacy data integration system, which became the architectural basis for Infor's own data connection flow, expanded the visualization library by 12+ new chart types, and drove accessibility compliance across a full platform redesign.

In 2025 I stepped into a Design Lead role, where I managed a direct report, contributed to growing the team, and set platform-wide design guidance for integrating GenAI across 10+ features including natural-language chart generation, AI-written descriptions, and a prompt-to-code feature for our custom query language.
